About Kate

Kate is a Co Founder at Frively, where she helps shape how small and medium-sized businesses get access to the kind of website technology that has, until now, been reserved for global brands.

She graduated with a first in maths from Queen Mary University, and has spent her career at the intersection of small business and software. Since leaving university, Kate has been involved in running and managing a SaaS business, building deep expertise in marketing industry-specific technology to small businesses, particularly in the salon environment.

That experience taught Kate something a lot of people in tech never learn: how it actually feels to run a small business. The pressure of payroll, the weight of every booking, the relief when something just works. It is the reason she is so committed to making sure the businesses Frively works with feel in control, confident, and free to focus on the work they love.

Alongside her SaaS work, Kate has been involved in enterprise-level website construction, the kind of build process used by companies with millions to spend. Bringing those two worlds together is what Frively is built on: the technology used by global businesses, made available to the salons, accountants, plumbers, electricians, dentists, and air conditioning companies that are the backbone of every local community.

The relationships built along the way are what Kate values above everything else. Long-standing partnerships with clients who know their business is genuinely understood, not just managed.     We took this application couple of weeks ago, and have spent time planning the transfer from our existing system. During this process we have found Kate and Colin nothing but helpful and nothing has been too much trouble (even the silliest question). The system itself has lots of great features and it's encouraging to see that there is continual ongoing development, particularly the integrated marketing function. Overall very pleased and looking forward to working with the system going forward.

    I had trouble getting the app to work on my website, a lovely lady called Kate helped me out extremely quickly and their developers seems to jump to attention with my issue and get it working as quickly as possible.     Frively have been great setting up my website. After an in depth zoom meeting with Colin we established the information I needed within the website. He guided me through each page, explained in depth how using key words would help potential clients find us easily. Colin worked with me to create the look I wanted, including advice on colours and graphics, photos and logos. Colin is approachable and full of knowledge to get the website working for us as it should with regular updates. If you are looking for a website that really works then I definitely recommend Frively. We also use their appointment booking system which is another great asset to us, Kate is amazing.. always at the end of the phone if I run into difficulty… she now knows how much of a technophobe I am and manages to sort my issues in an instant!! 5 stars to Frively… they get my vote!
